Pennsylvania has changed the rates for title insurance for the first time since 2003. The new rates use a simpler structure, but be aware the state has also increased rates by 7%. The old rates with different categories and discounts based on the date of the previous mortgage or the type of loan have been replaced by two categories – Sale (Purchase) and Non-Sale (Refinance).
